sheep-herder-who-makes-hats:

hi everyone! today i played Motoko-chan no Wonder Kitchen.

its a short little cooking mama-esque point and click game for the super famicom that was given out as a promotional item with ajinomoto brand mayonnaise purchases in 1993.

the game mainly consists of finding stolen ingredients hidden in the environments, fun facts about the history of mayonnaise, and then using said ingredients to make dishes with the main ingredient being mayonnaise (if you don’t already know, japanese mayo tastes a lot better than american mayo so these food probably aren’t as bad as you think). also you can play reversi with a witch sleeping in your cupboard.

even though its relatively short, the environments are super cute, and there’s a lot to interact with. there’s not a lot of dialogue, but if you dont know basic japanese the cooking sections would probably be really hard.

overall i really luv this game and i would recommend it (y)
